Yeah it’s totally fine! Always on their back, NEVER stomach, and no pillows, stuffed animals, blankets; they can suffocate the baby. Place the baby in the middle of the bed, there is practically no chance that a 2 week old will roll over, but better safe than sorry right? Invest in a baby monitor if you haven’t already, there is also some kind of heart beat monitor that alerts another monitor if the baby’s heart beat stops or stops breathing.

It is safer for them to take a nap in their crib, or a play pen. It is unlikely that they will roll over, and I let my daughter nap once in a while on my bed. Just make sure your baby is in the centre of the bed, there are no loose bedding items around them that they could grab and pull over their face, and that you check on them often, or better yet, stay in the room with them.

Nooo, it is not. The mattress should be firm to avoid suffocation.

Sure. I don’t see why it wouldn’t. All three of my boys slept day and night in our bed from day 1, we don’t even own a crib or crib mattress. Just as long as you are not putting baby down on his/her stomach, its fine.

Yes its fine….My son has slept with me since he was about a month old and we have a memory foam mattress with a down featherbed on it, with a down comfortor as a blanket…..

Yes, since my baby was born he’s slept by my side. He’s now 8 months & still sleeps with me. It gave me piece of mind that I was right next to him if he should throw up or something was wrong. When he was born I often checked to make sure he was breathing ok. A bit paranoid but gave me piece of mind that he was ok!
